Richard Sherman

Mr. Sherman is a Senior Associate and Project Manager with Seneca. His most recent work has been in support of the restructuring project for the Romanian freight railroad company, CFR Marfa, SA and on the EBRD-funded project assisting the Romanian rail infrastructure company CFR, SA improve their property management practices. He has also worked on a variety of projects in the areas of railway technology development, market assessment, railway industry association management and information technology. Mr. Sherman has been part of government affairs teams for firm clients in the United States, including freight and passenger railway transport companies and railway infrastructure construction and maintenance firms, primarily performing legislative research, writing and strategic analysis. His topical areas of focus have included organized labor issues involving railroad right-of-way, national and local government funding mechanisms for freight and passenger railroad infrastructure and government regulation affecting railroad maintenance-of-way activities. During 2006-7 he served in Baghdad, Iraq with the United States Army. He received his Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from the George Washington University in 1998. He is proficient in Spanish.
