Services for Petrom

Petrom is the largest Romanian oil and gas group, with activities in the business segments of: Exploration and Production; Refining; Gas, Power & Petrochemicals; and Marketing. Seneca is working on a series of projects to develop and implement a new transport primary logistic structure in the Arpechim and Petrobrazi petroleum refinery/petrochemical complexes, including outsourcing of wagon and railway infrastructure maintenance and wagon shunting activity. Recent specific activities include:

• Exploration & Production Turn-Around Project: Seneca provided support to Petrom in analyzing the results of the re-organization of the Exploration & Production Division which employs more than thirteen thousand employees across Romania.
  

• Petroleum Terminal Capacity & Rail Infrastructure Assessment Project: Seneca is performing a full evaluation of the infrastructure condition and operations capacity of the Petrobrazi Refinery Railway Terminal. This facility contains approximately 55 track-kilometers of infrastructure supporting the loading and unloading of multiple trains per day transporting a full range of petroleum products including crude oil, sulfur, LPG, petroleum coke and various petrochemicals to and from points within Romania and across Europe. This project is in support of capital and operational planning to meet capacity needs forecast by the company strategic business plan.
  

• Rail Terminal Employee Training: Seneca provided logistics employees of Petrom with training on the proper procedures for personnel to follow for the reception, inspection, loading/unloading, sealing and dispatch/departure of wagons containing Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG). The training emphasized compliance with all applicable European and Romanian standards, laws and regulations and the proper preparation of documentation and records for the different activities.
